Derma Roller, sometimes referred to as Micro Needling is a specialist service offered at Elle Aesthetics of Stockton. Using a process of advanced skin micro needling (GD Regenerate), results are long lasting. Our aesthetic nurses use a German engineered medical device – the genuine derma roller. The advanced micro-needling procedure is designed to stimulate your skin, encouraging it to regenerate and repair naturally. Results offer smoother, brighter, younger and healthier looking skin.
GD Regenerate is clinically proven to be effective with:
- Acne Scarring
- Photo-damaged and ageing skin
- Facial and decollete lines and wrinkles
- Stretch marks
Producing thousands of micro-needle columns in the skin, the derma roller process penetrates the dermis of your skin. Rapidly closing, skin recovers quickly, often within 24 hours.Maximise results with skin at its best by combining derma roller treatments with one of our Skin programmes.
At Elle Aesthetics our luxury clinic is based in Stockton-on-Tees. When you attend for a derma roller treatment our trained practitioner will use a topical anaesthetic. This numbs your skin, ensuring the procedure is comfortable. It usually takes around 30 minutes to take effect. Micro needling will then begin and take around 20 minutes to complete. This will depend upon the area being treated. After the procedure your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the treated skin. It does this by working below the surface of the dermis. New collagen is formed over time and fresh skin cells are generated. As a result, the dermis is enhanced.
Redness on the treated area will clear. Moving forwards it is important to employ a daily skincare routine with an effective anti-ageing regime. Getting this right provides photo and antioxidant protection. It also helps towards the rejuvenation process.
Visible signs of regeneration and repair can take up to six weeks. From here, the process continues over the following month. Results of derma roller ensure a natural, long lasting skin enhancement.
We recommend a course of three procedures, approximately six weeks apart. Depending upon your skin complaint it may be necessary to increase the number of derma roller treatments required.
Immediately after your GD Regenerate procedure you will look as though you have moderate sunburn. Skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside over the next 24 hours. After treatment your practitioner may apply Control Tactics or a Hyaluronic acid based product to hydrate and plump the skin. This enhances treatment response. Using broad spectrum, high-level UV protection, such as Heliocare, is also essential. Finally, after micro needling we recommend using tepid water to cleanse your face until redness has gone.
